The world has been twiddling thumbs in anticipation, following several strange events/genius marketing moves that have led to this very moment. First, Radiohead fans received cryptic pamphlets bearing the words “Burn The Witch”, then the band wiped their Internet footprint, before launching some teasers on their instagram account that teetered on the edge of trolling. BUT IT ALL MAKES SENSE NOW; these snippets and images were puzzle pieces to the stop-motion video for their brand new cut: “Burn The Witch”.
Set in a Postman Pat-esque English village, the clip is a quirky backdrop to signature cinematic soundscapes, complete with staccato strings and piercing vocals. “Burn The Witch” is the first taste of the universally-worshipped-indie-rock-figureheads’ upcoming ninth studio album, their first LP since 2011’s ‘The King – OKAY OKAY WE GET IT YOU JUST WANNA HEAR IT AND HERE IT IS…
