It’s one of the last time’s we’ll be able to call 24-year-old French artist Lewis OfMan (Lewis Delhomme) an ’emerging’ name, because after years of bubbling away in the background, the electronic master has ticked off a milestone most artists would dream of, having his work selected to soundtrack the Versace Fall/Winter 2022 collection’s debut on the runway at Milan Fashion Week last night.
You might have already heard some of Lewis OfMan’s work without realising — he produced a handful of cuts on Rejjie Snow‘s 2018 debut album ‘Dear Annie’, and supported the Irish hip hop artist on his huge North American tour. After a couple EPs and a handful of irresistible electronic singles, Lewis OfMan’s highly anticipated debut LP ‘Sonic Poems’ is out now. The release comfortably showcases the dynamic breadth of his influences across 16 tracks, which curate the best of European pop and retro dance to formulate Lewis’ own shimmering soundscapes.
“Attitude”, which arrived as the first taste of the album, was hand-picked for Versace’s latest campaign, and for their MFW runway show, a remix by French DJ Clara 3000 of “Attitude” and ice-cold new single “Sorry Not Sorry” had jaws drop around the world.
