Rising rural 18-year-old producer Curtis Kennedy – AKA Kuren – is the next exciting talent to emerge out of the self-taught bedroom producer generation. With Ta-ku in his corner, a contract with booking agency Maker, support slots for local powerhouse Ngaiire and acclaimed remixes of Sophie Lowe, Tigerilla and Allday all under his belt, the talented teen is charging forward with news of his brand new single “Home” and an accompanying debut national tour next month.
Lifted from his upcoming sophomore EP, “Home” is a super-addictive serving of atmospheric EDM featuring none other than New York crooner Ben Alessi. Incorporating Kennedy’s now-signature epic, hyper-emotional sound, the anthem collides beaming guitar lines and sweeping piano lines with waves of bubbling synths and desperate, pleading melodies. This kid’s got the gift.
