After a brief quiet period in the wake of unleashing their individualistic, progressive EP ‘Cyclical’ a few months ago, London/Stockholm-based alt indie outfit Kins have returned with a monthly series of single releases to build momentum around the early 2016 release of their (still-to-be-named) sophomore album. The first in line is the jarring, assailing “Most Definitely”; it’s a slightly divergent approach for the band, pulling droning, ominous synths and robust pounding drums right to the forefront. “The song is about loneliness,” frontman Thomas Savage explains, and both the dramatic tone and disconnected veracity in his vocal make for a perfect thematic fit.
