“A revolution without dancing is a revolution not worth having.”
When an online event description opens with wisdom like that, there’s no doubt everyone is in for a damn good time.
This Sunday, Sydney’s very own party-starting dance and hip hop collective Haiku Hands are wrapping up out the annual talks and ideas festival All About Women with their very own block party at the iconic Sydney Opera House. After a day of inspiring and challenging talks and events on intersectionality, #metoo, Trump, climate justice, and the curious and contested politics of singledom and relationships, the girls – along with friends OKENYO, Clypso, Ayebatonye and Mowgli May – will provide the perfect closer by turning the Opera House Studio into a full-blown dancefloor of epic proportions. Kicking off at 7:30pm and running into the night amidst our stunning harbour, we’re predicting a Sunday night session for the history books…
