The latest solo artist to emerge from the Pieater stables is Christopher Port. As the go-to drummer for Airling and #1 Dads and the live sample lord for Big Scary, the creative maestro has broken out on his own with an entirely different sound. Port’s debut single “Bump” is a progressive, one-of-a-kind slice of jarring garage dance, melding sparse percussion, distorted vocal samples and hollow, dried-out beats.
