Hot on the heels of her VIVID performance at the Sydney Opera House, Zambian-born singer, poet and visual artist Sampa The Great brought her now world-famous neo-soul infused Afrobeat tunes to Melbourne’s Forum Theatre for An Afro Future — an evening of music from artists “celebrating the culture of tomorrow”. Joining Sampa on the first of two consecutive nights of standout performances was Melbourne-based singer KYE, and Sampa’s own sister Mwanjè, an incredible talent in her own right.
